Public Enemy #1

I found something munching on my tomatoes this morning...

His poop was the size of mini marshmellows. Which makes sense, because he ate the entire top out of one of the plants.

eeeEEEEWWWW! He quickly met his demise. Don't tell PETA.

PTI Blog Hop -- Summer inspiration

Hi! It's time again for the monthly blog hop with Papertrey Ink.

This month we were challenged to look for summer inspiration for our project. I've been taking a landscaping class at the local community college and working on a design for a perennial garden that will include a white arbor. Here is one example of an arbor in a garden that I found on the Better Homes and Gardens website:

While I didn't stick with those exact colors, I was hoping to capture the cottage feel of the flowers and how the white pops against the foliage. I distressed the edges with some sponging to add some shabbiness.

I used Life and Green Thumb for the flowers. The sentiment is from Mega Mixed Messages.

I can never stop without adding some Stickles or liquid pearls (or both!).

Thanks for visiting!

Stuff

I finished the baby rag quilt!

I'm still finding lint all over the house.

Our church had a rummage sale to raise money for the youth program. Most of the items for sale were picked up on the side of the road on "bulky item day"! I got a fountain for $5.

I think this little girl should be holding an umbrella, but it's missing, so it looks like she's holding a rifle. I'm going to replace the pump (which doesn't seem to work) with a solar pump.

I also got a wire hanging lantern thingy complete with beakless silk bird for $2.

This plaster pedistal is marked 1986. It was $5. Someone painted it with latex paint, which is peeling right off. My mission will be to make it look old and mossy.
