What I did with all those spoons from the flea market...

Arbor update

You have heard the expression "measure twice, cut once".



Scott's motto for the installation of this arbor was "measure 437 times, then check for levelness, squareness, kick the post a couple times, measure again, level, measure, level, curse, measure, then pour the concrete."



He did a good job. After all, his spiritual gifts are square, level and plumb.

It needs a shrub over on the right side, to fill in the gap. I'm thinking Jack Frost ligustrum. Isn't that what you were thinking?



Good times at the Hillsville flea market. I got a ton of silverware to make into garden markers, and these Turkish oil pots.



17 plants in the ground and about 30 to go. Not counting bulbs.

Holes

Last weekend Scott dug some holes.



He dug.



And dug.



And dug some more.



The fence/arbor is almost ready!

Meanwhile, I found this hose box for $5 at the local junk store. It was grungy. The man at the store said, "I don't guarantee they don't leak. I just guarantee they crank." LOL. It cranks and doesn't leak. Score!



I bought a few plants for the perennial bed. I picked one up to move it and something was looking at me!
